Why are we doing this?
Barca is at the cusp of a transformation. A glorious cycle has ended and a new one is beginning. As fans, it will be exciting to see how the club evolves from a period of incredible success to a more challenging future.
In parallel, football as a game has evolved. The tactical approach, game state and Moneyball concepts in scouting have completely changed the way clubs approach team and tactical set-up.
This is our attempt to document the change, along with the macro environments that are shaping the game. From nation-states owning clubs to the slow erosion of community inclusion in the grassroots of club football. From the global north expansion of the game to the economies it creates to redefine cultural context.
As fans of Barca and football, we are building a community which we believe will inform and engage those who love football and Barca, the same way we do.
